They are still bad in general but for light gaming they should run most games fine in low settings that isn't the Witcher 3 or the like. The iris graphics in the 13 inch isn't "poor" relative to Intel graphics goes. Both of those would be considered decent, not great by any stretch. I was comparing with the graphics available in the 15" models and the upcoming Skylake models. Your point was that the 6000/6100 were far from poor, and I my statement was that current and most past 13" macbooks have poor graphics chips.

I read your post as saying games like the witcher 3 aren't graphics intensive, my bad. Hell, I'm still playing some games on a 320m and it's good enough for me, but it's quantitatively poor, regardless of my opinion. It's comparatively poor, even if it's good enough for you. The 550 is the top card on the list, the 6000 is just a couple spots from the bottom. Notebook check ranks the Iris 540/550 and the 6000/6100 class 3 (low-mid) The 13" chips have always been considerably slower than the 15", which makes them poor by comparison. Both of those would be considered decent at best. The 540 is roughly twice as fast as the 60 for gaming performance, and it's not even the high end Iris graphics part for Skylake. Point still remains, running a game over 4 years old like skyrim, with low graphics settings, that wasn't a graphics hog even when it was released, is not impressive.

Skyrim will run fine on the iris 6100 given your running Windows and older titles like wow will run fineĪnd the 540, and 550 aren't "leap and bounds" better.ive used the surface pro 4 with the i5 model and it's not leaps and bounds better then the iris 6100 graphics even if you booted windows on your 13 Macbook Pro.I read your post as saying games like the witcher 3 aren't graphics intensive, my bad. Did you even bother to read my post or just went straight to responding? I just said games that AREN'T graphic intensive like the Witcher 3.
